The CLX-3175FN multi-function printer does what you want a printer to do and does it quietly. There are faster printers but this does an acceptable 4 pages per minute if you use color.
It is perfect for business letters that have color graphics or pictures. The pictures come out very well on plain paper without streaks. One of the nicer features is that this is a quiet printer, you can work with it on your desk.
It makes excellent copies. In a small office it is the only copier you need. The color copies are fantastic. It comes fit bundled software to allow you to use it as a scanner and fax machine. It will scan or fax from any computer on the network and send incoming faxes to multiple computers.
Drawbacks? It has one serious flaw, it will not work with Windows 98. We have a couple of computers on our network that use an old program that will only run in DOS, 95, or 98. This printer will simply not run from those machines. Had I know that in advance I would not have purchased it.
If you don't have old operating systems on your network you will love this multi-function printer. Was this review helpful?

Got tired of constantly replacing inkjet AIO printers (ink dries out, print head gets gunked up, etc.) which, in the end, cost a small fortune just for the ink. I couldn't find a color laser MFP that was network-ready, small enough for the home / home office, printed decent graphics (semi-glossy paper), and was also affordable until I saw the Samsung CLX-3175FN. MSRP was reasonable, but BUY.com had a $100 rebate which made it even more attractive. Looks good (not an eyesore), quiet, and has a small footprint which wins in the spouse-acceptance category; attaches to home network, easy to setup and customize, prints decent quality images, and best of all it's a color laser! Fax, scanner, and copier features all easy to work with and worked as described. Price of replacement toners are more than competitive (Dell's toners are expensive). Family and coworkers were impressed. May disappoint those looking for a speed demon in color printing; also has a small capacity paper tray and ADF. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this printer to replace a Samsung CLX-3160FN that was to big for the cabinet and had several features I did not like. Great price and does everything the CLX-3160FN did. It does take longer to wake from a sleep state and also slower printing. Fast shipping. Good value. Was this review helpful?
